It comes from the 2024 edition of “5StarWines” Wine Competition organized by Vinitaly in the days preceding the great Veronese event, the greatest recognition ever obtained by the Testa family, owner of Tenuta degli Angeli in Carobbio degli Angeli.
The Brut degli Angeli Riserva 2018 was in fact awarded as “Best Classic Method Sparkling Wine” by the prestigious international jury that meets every year in the pavilions of the fair to taste and “blindly” judge thousands of samples from all over the world.
The tastings took place between April 9th and 11th: the results were published the following day just before the opening of the 56th edition of Vinitaly which, as usual, will attract a crowd of visitors to the city of Romeo and Juliet professionals from the world of wine.
“2018 was a great, exceptional year for us, we have wonderful memories of the joy and enthusiasm of that harvest, photos and videos that testify to the great satisfaction we shared” says Roberta Testa who, together with her mother Manuela and her brothers, runs the company founded in the seventies by her father Pierangelo. And he adds: “we are very happy with the trophy we received for Best Sparkling Wine 2024 with 95 points – the maximum awarded this year. And among other things, proof that the vintage was memorable, the Extra Brut also placed very well, deserving 92/100”. Results that are an incentive to continue on the path of quality that we have practically always undertaken with conviction and without compromise".
